Saving Time for the Future

2012 Columbus Historic Clock

Restoration Project

Join the Downtown Residents’ Association of Columbus (DRAC) in celebrating Columbus’ 200 years of history, culture, and art.  Be part of the festivities by participating in the 2012 Columbus Historic Clock Restoration Project.

Columbus is privileged to be the home of two rare street clocks dating back to before 1920. The beautiful time keepers are in need of restoration to make them operational and bring them back to their original luster.

DRAC and the Capital Crossroads SID have teamed up to raise the funds needed to restore these clocks to their original luster. The clocks will be unveiled during Columbus’ 2012 celebration as a reflection of Columbus’
pioneer ancestry and as a monument to the city’s future.

This monumental project will cost over $57,000 and is only possible through your (tax deductible) donation.

We invite you to visit the clocks and see their potential.  The first clock is located at North High Street. and Lynn Alley.  The second currently sits inside COSI and will be returned to its former home at 21 East Gay Street once it is restored.
